Protection Centres in Pakistan
For the period of February to date, CCHD has been running Protection Centres in Sindh and Punjab Provinces covering eight Districts, Kashmore, Dadu and Sukkur in Sindh, Multan, Mianwali, Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar and Jhang in Punjab.
The goal of the project was to establish and operationalize a model system that monitors, identifies, reports and addresses protection issues of the flood affected returnees and IDP's of the selected districts in Sindh and Punjab Provinces of Pakistan. The protection issues in the Provinces, include Watan cards, entitlements, succession, dispute resolution, Gender Based Violence (GBV), Child Protection and enforcement of protection of rights relevant to sustainable emergency response, rehabilitation, reintegration and survival of the flood affected people.
