Compilation of a Manual on Duties, Powers and Functions of Local Govt. Elected Representatives and other Key Officials under PLGO 2001. 2004 - ongoing
The project intends to create awareness and understanding in elected representatives / institutions and officers about their functions / powers / duties as given in PLGO and their local government laws by compiling a manual of their power, functions and duties. This shall benefit not only the Local Government Department in its capacity building initiatives to strengthen local governments but also assist other institutions and offices working on strengthening decentralization process. The project is being implemented with the support provided by the Decentralization Support Program, Government of Punjab under ADB TA Loan.
