Citizens' Commission for Human Development

CCHD is a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) that endeavors for attitudinal change to facilitate sustainable development, socio-ecological justice and equity in the society by empowering people through education, awareness raising, rights-based advocacy and capacity building while believing in the advancement of women as prerequisite of social, political and economic development.

The Protection Centres are monitoring, identifying, reporting and addressing protection issues of the flood affected returnees of 6 selected districts of Punjab and Sindh Provinces of Pakistan. The protection issues are not limited to Watan Cards phase one and two registration and monitoring, but also to entitlements, succession, dispute resolution, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Child Protection. The Protection Centres also take into account enforcement of protection rights relevant to sustainable emergency response, early recovery and rehabilitation, reintegration and survival of the flood affected returnees.
